Our History

The ministry of Francis and Babs Martin began in a grocery store and post office in Branch, LA with a desire to lead people to an intimate relationship with God. By the direction of the Holy Spirit in 1980, Pastor Francis bought a soybean field that would soon be the property of our first sanctuary. Pastor Francis Martin led and grew the church until 2002, when he turned the leadership role over to his spiritual son, Todd Menard, who had served as Associate Pastor for eleven years.

With the support of his wife Tonya and family, Pastor Todd continued to serve and impact the people of our community as the Lead Pastor for over 18 years. Throughout the years, Pastor Todd began to mentor and train his Executive Pastor, Brandon Miller, to transition into the Lead Pastor. Today, the effectiveness of Pastor Todd’s vision to raise up young leaders is revealed in the amazing third-generation leadership team and staff at Family Life Church. 

On July 5, 2020, Pastor Todd transitioned the leadership role to his spiritual son, Pastor Brandon Miller. Pastor Brandon has served underneath Pastor Todd’s leadership and mentorship for over 15 years. Pastor Brandon is deeply passionate about seeing people reach their maximum potential through a real and personal relationship with Jesus. Pastor Todd continues to support and serve as the Teaching/Missions Pastor. Family Life is still known for its life-giving culture and focus on leading people to an intimate, authentic relationship with God.
